News: Elections could be sabotaged – Falana

Lagos – Femi Falana, a senior advocate of
Nigeria has said that he fears the upcoming
elections will be sabotaged by what he called
anti-democratic forces, Naij reported. Also read: Court bars soldiers from polling booths Falana added that these actions could result in
the military staging a coup d’etat, setting in
place an interim government. Speaking at the Foursquare Gospel Church
owned Life Theological Seminary at the
weekend, he warned of post-election
violence that could result if the polls take
place. He however praised the government’s efforts
to eradicate Boko Haram, but warned
Nigerians to prepare themselves for a long
and drawn-out battle for the liberation of the
country from economic and political
predators.
